As a mother of 10 children (yes, 10!), two who were adopted and eight she gave birth to, Joy spent a lot of her adult life focusing on her family. Needless to say, with 10 children, she often felt tired and worn out. Fortunately, she found Isagenix and the IsaBody Challenge®. After recently completing her second Challenge, Joy reached one of her goals of becoming a Finalist and now uses her experience to inspire her team and her family.

Jumping in Right Away

Joy’s first Challenge was the 2016 New Year Kick Off (NYKO) IsaBody Challenge, and her motivation was a huge desire to lose weight. She was encouraged by her Isagenix leaders to jump in feet first. She took her “before” pictures the first day and says, “Goodness, I’m so glad I did!” “Halfway into my first Challenge, I started to see that I was actually getting muscle tone, which I never even thought was possible,” she says. Joy qualified as an Honorable Mention after her first Challenge! Her physical transformation combined with her Honorable Mention showed her how much she needed to continue with the IsaBody Challenge, so she set more goals for her next Challenge to get leaner, build more muscle, and gain flexibility. spartan team Joy also participated in the Spartan Race and shared Isagenix products with her Spartan team. Some of her favorite products to help her improve her performance are from the AMPED™ line, especially AMPED Power, AMPED Recover, and AMPED Fuel. She also loves the Value/President’s Pak and uses “every single product” in it.

Building Her Business with IsaBody

The transformation Joy experienced brought a lot of positive attention not only to her but also to her Isagenix business. Between participating in the IsaBody™ Facebook community, speaking at Launch Parties and team events, and helping others with their fitness, Joy is regularly sharing her story and using her transformation to inspire others.

Joy also speaks at Spanish events, holds Launch Parties in both English and Spanish, and will be headed to Puerto Rico in July of 2016 to share her story in Spanish. “That’s another dream and a blessing, because we have connections there; we’re trying to build our team there,” she explains. “It really has given me a platform,” Joy says of her overall experience and transformation with IsaBody. “For the most part, it’s been moms—young moms and older moms. I think it really gives them hope. If I can do this, then surely they can, whether it’s their physical transformation or their business.”

A Family Affair

Joy’s IsaBody experience had a positive impact on her family, too. Her family drinks IsaLean® Shakes, and her husband started using Isagenix at the same time she did. She was even able to get her mother and her grandmother to use the products, too! “It’s so much more than weight loss for us,” she says. “We are generally a more happy family and get off the couch and do fun outdoor activities. We do ab competitions, and we see who can get their abs done faster!”family

Staying Positive

Like most who participate in IsaBody, Joy experienced so much more than just a physical transformation. She completed the Healthy Mind and Body program and says that going through that program on a daily basis was “life-changing, because you’re constantly checking in with your goals and your mindset and not allowing for negativity.

More importantly, Joy was able to make strides in her emotional health. During her second Challenge, she learned to make new and improved habits to help herself get rid of old beliefs around defeat and negativity.

When asked what advice she would give future IsaBody competitors, Joy tells them to jump in right away like she did and to join the IsaBody Facebook group. “There’s accountability. You feel like you’re part of a team or group. Everybody encourages each other,” she explains. Extremely grateful for IsaBody and Isagenix, Joy wrote in her 2016 IsaBody Top Achievers essay, “Isagenix gave me the nutrition, tools, and support to bloom, let my personality shine, and finally to love my body.”
